RECLAIMING YOUR TIME

Master Your Moments: We all feel like we're just reacting to the world around us—the constant dings, emails, and demands. But what if you could take a breath and decide what's next, instead of just responding? This isn't about more time; it's about owning the time you have. A tiny shift can make all the difference. Automation and Delegation are 2 practical techniques where these shifts can be made pretty easily.

Automation Examples: Set up recurring deliveries for key supplements, wellness products (like a specific tea or essential oil), non-perishable healthy snacks or even pet supplements/med/food. This eliminates the "I'm running out!" panic, the trip to the store, and the mental load of remembering to order, freeing up time and cognitive bandwidth for relaxation.

Other examples are setting up auto pay for monthly bills, using online booking tools (Calendy of Acuity), set reoccurring reminders and alarms for routine task and self care, program robotic vacuum/mop to clean at the same time when no one is home.

Delegation Examples: Introduce a "Laundry Loop" system where a family member (partner, teen, etc.) is responsible for one specific step, such as transferring the clothes from the washer to the dryer or folding them. Delegating one small piece of a recurring chore is a huge win for lightening your mental load.

There are endless needs and examples of delegation. We can give all kids chores or parts of a chore, ask a partner to schedule calendar time to always take kids to their dentist appointments, ask a partner to always pick up dry cleaning (or some other chore that is away from the house)

My favorite Automation/Delegation Combo: Hire a good house cleaner to thoroughly clean - same day/same time, weekly or bimonthly - and it’s on everyone’s calendar. If you have the budget, do it! I just don’t know of a better combo :-)

Mindful Minis

Brain Fuel

A small handful of walnuts is a great source of omega-3s to support brain health. Keep a bag at your desk for a quick, focused snack.

The AI Schedule

Use a tool like Reclaim.ai to automatically block time on your calendar for deep work and personal tasks, ensuring they don't get overlooked.

Hip Hinge Release

Stand up and gently hinge at your hips, keeping a flat back. This simple stretch can help alleviate tightness from prolonged sitting. Watch Video: https://youtu.be/N7ga0RD5D2w?si=OtqrYQR1Oyhu_RSX

WEEKLY RESET

Reflection

My Time-Saving Action: What is one small, simple task I will automate this week to free up more of my time? Likewise, what is one small, simple task I will delegate this week to free up more of my time?

My Boundary: What is one simple boundary I will set this week to protect my time and energy?

Affirmation

My time is my own. I honor my energy by being intentional about how I spend it, and I am empowered to say "no" to what does not serve me. My worth is not tied to my productivity.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for the gift of time. Empower me to honor my energy by being intentional about how I spend it. Remind me that I am empowered to say no” to what does not serve me. Thank you that my worth is not tied to my productivity.
